Personal views: Public parks are a necessity to the life and vibrancy of a community. They serve as community gathering places as well as for personal recreation. The Key Peninsula has the opportunity to build upon the volunteer efforts that gave us Volunteer Park by expanding and improving to meet the needs of the community. We need to continue the tradition of volunteers working together. We need to recognize the varied needs of the community to provide wildlife preservation, habitat restoration, trails, and active recreational facilities. |
