Summer Solstice Gnomes
the search begins June 21, 2026

In recent years GNOMES have been found hiding at Key Pen Parks on the Summer Solstice!
Lucky visitors to our parks can find hidden gnomes and give them a nice new home.
RULES OF THE SEARCH

1) Stay on the trails! All hidden gnomes are accessible from park trails or in open areas.

2) Search only during open park hours: 7am to legal sunset.

3) Keep only ONE gnome and leave the rest for other searchers to find.

4) Don't spoil the surprise! If you see the Secret Gnome Squad out hiding gnomes in the parks before the Solstice, don't follow or try to see where gnomes are hidden.

FAQ

If I help to hide gnomes, can I still hunt for gnomes?
Yes! You can still hunt for gnomes in the parks where you didn't hide them.

Is there anywhere that I should NOT hide a gnome?
No off-roading, please. Gnome seekers should stay on maintained paths and trails while they search. Hidden gnomes should be easily accessible from ground-level (no tree climbing.)

Should I make the gnomes hard or easy to find?
People of all ages search for Key Pen Parks Summer Solstice Gnomes. Younger visitors appreciate finding a gnome in easier spots, while trail-riders and hikers appreciate the challenge of treasures that are a little harder to spot deeper into the parks.
