Rocky Creek Conservation Area
Rocky Creek Conservation is a hidden treasure of the Key Peninsula and an idyllic scene for a peaceful stroll. This spot consists of over 224 acres of park, open space and conservation land and is managed jointly with Pierce County for public enjoyment of the existing ecosystem. Rocky Creek has over three miles of walking (non-motorized) trails, two benches, and three parking spots available at the trailhead. There is beautiful natural diversity housed in the woodlands and wetlands, including a mixture of fir, hemlock, alder and cedar trees, a stream (East Fork Rocky Creek where Steelhead trout and chinook can be found), various plants and, if you get lucky, wildlife might make a special appearance during your visit!
