Taylor Bay

Taylor Bay is the latest acquisition by Key Pen Parks, composed of three parcels totaling 39 acres. The property was purchased with funds from Pierce County Conservation Futures and Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office Salmon Recovery Funding Board. Two of the three parcels have over 600 feet of shoreline access to Taylor Bay.

In addition to shoreline, the park also includes wetlands, a significant pocket estuary, mudflats, lagoon, salt marshes, a small creek, a larger creek, forested uplands, riparian areas, and patches of open meadows.

Future plans for the property are in the planning stages. Proposed plans include possible public access for kayaking, hiking, and educational purposes.

Note: T
he gate is locked and unlocked daily from April 1 to Sept. 1 and the public is welcome to park by the garage. If the gate is locked, you may park outside the gate and walk in. Property is open during daylight hours.
