Education: Bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of Washington, two years at the University of Puget Sound Law School.
Occupation: President and manager of Clinton's Music House, Inc., in Tacoma, an old family-owned piano sales business. Professional qualifications: Four years after college with the Department of Ecology's SEPA permit department and participated with the Department of Energy's legal council on the Northern Tier Pipeline project. Twenty-three years in all facets of private business. Key Peninsula Park and Recreation District Commissioner. Key Peninsula Metropolitan Park District Commissioner and clerk/financial officer. Personal information: My family moved to our beach cabin in Home on a permanent basis in the early 1970s. I enjoy all water sports, as well as horseback riding. Community involvement: Assisted in development of draft park system plan for the old park district. As incumbent of Key Peninsula Metropolitan Park commissioner/clerk, I am involved in establishing the new park district and ensuring the KPMPD is efficiently run. Personal views: I believe in being creative and open-minded to provide a park system for all recreational interests: active sports (baseball, soccer); trails (equestrian, hikers, cyclists); natural areas (camping, trails); water sports (boating, more recreational beach access); and events (fairground/expo center). The citizens of the Key Peninsula deserve no less. |
