Set 30 years after its predecessor, it follows Maverick's return to the United States Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor program (also known as U.S. Navy-Fighter Weapons School - "TOP GUN"), where he must confront his past as he trains a group of younger pilots, among them the son of Maverick's deceased best friend Lieutenant Nick "Goose" Bradshaw, USN.

Paws of Fury -The legend of Hank

Hank is a down-on-his-luck hound who only dreams of one thing: to become a samurai. One day, he finds himself in a town full of cats who are being threatened to be wiped out of existence by Ika Chu, a ruthless warmongering cat. Hank turns to Jimbo for help. As he becomes the town's samurai hero with the help of the feline sensei, he must work with the townspeople to finally defeat their menacing enemy.

Minions - The rise of Gru

In the 1970s, 12-year-old Gru schemes and plots (with the help of the Minions) to become a member of the Vicious 6, an infamous group of supervillians. Chaos, adventure, and hilarity ensue after he manages to steal a valuable object from their headquarters.

DC League of Super pets
​This movie will be shown at Volunteer Park

August 25 - Rated PG

This animated tale focuses on Krypto the Super-Dog, otherwise known as Superman's pet. Since he has his own superpowers, Krypto enjoys saving the world with the Man of Steel. However, he finds himself challenged when Superman is kidnapped one day, and the other human superheroes can't help. With the help of superpower-infused animals in a shelter, it's up to Krypto to save the world and save his superhuman.

Cinema Under the Stars is a longtime Key Pen Parks tradition at Volunteer and Gateway Parks on Friday evenings in August. Bring your blankets, chairs, pillows and prepare to have a great time with your friends and family!

The 2023 Cinema Under the Stars movies will be shown on Fridays, August 4, 11, 18, and 25.  Movies will begin at dusk.
